This episode was recorded a few days before The U.S. Treasury Department proposed sweeping new rules that looks to extend anti money laundering regulations to include transactions from VASPs to non-custodial wallets. We hope to touch more on that regulation specifically in an upcoming show

TODAY'S 🎙SHOW: Douglas Tuman interviews Justin Ehrenhofer and Robby Dermody on the launch of Comply First, an initiative that focuses on providing compliance guidance & resources around privacy preserving cryptocurrencies.

Douglas, Justin and Robby discuss how comply first is an open source movement that is set to be a resource for people that want to comply with regulations by giving them the tools that they need to navigate in this area for all cryptocurrencies, not just monero. They aim to accurately reflect a good intersection between regulators and policing in the United States as well as exchanges and services by teaching them how to best support these privacy preserving cryptocurrencies instead of ignoring them.

They also chat about what the vision of the company is, if there is a difference between regulating privacy coins vs. transparent ones and what the hestiation is for most exchanges to add monero when the lack of privacy has become a relevant and important factor in bitcoin.
